And some probation jurisdictions are overloaded in terms of volume and high-risk offenders. The DVI – Short Form was developed to meet these needs. The DVI-Short Form consists of 76 items (questions) and takes 15 minutes to complete. The DVI–Short Form is a shorter version of the Domestic Violence Inventory (DVI) and contains the same scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Violence (Lethality) Scale, 3. Control Scale, 4. Alcohol Scale, 5. Drugs Scale and 6. Stress Coping Abilities (stress management) Scale. Upon data (answers) admission, DVI-Short Form assessments are scored with reports printed with 2½ minutes. The DVI-Short Form is concise enough to be read to a group of domestic violence offenders (group testing) or to individual offender’s that have reading impairments. Driver Inventory (DI): The Driver Inventory (DI) was developed upon the request of a transportation (trucking) company that wanted to assess driver attitudes, temperament and outlook. Due to zero tolerance rules/laws the DI does not explore substance abuse. The Driver Inventory (DI) is a non-offensive driver screen that does not contain an Alcohol Scale, Drug Scale or Substance Abuse Scale. The Driver Inventory (DI) has five (5) scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Driver Risk Scale, 3. Self-Rating Scale, 4. Aggressiveness Scale, and 5. Stress Coping Abilities (stress management) Scale. Many transportation companies that adhere to zero tolerance requirements still want to assess driver attitudes, aggressiveness and stress handling abilities. Driver Risk Inventory-II Short Form (DRI-II Short Form): Small groups have become an intricate component of probation, pre-trial, community corrections, and specialized DUI courts DUI offender treatment policy. The DRI-II Short Form allows staff to read it to groups of DUI/DWI offenders – should there be a need. High-volume assessors can save time while meeting the needs of the reading impaired. It can also be used as an alternative assessment option. The DRI-II Short Form consists of 73 items (questions), takes around 15 minutes to complete and from data (answers) input is scored and printed reports are available within 2½ to 3 minutes. The DRI-II Short Form has five (5) scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Alcohol Scale, 3. Drugs Scale, 4. Driver Risk Scale and 5. Substance Abuse/Dependency Scale. The Substance Abuse/Dependency Scale utilizes DSM-IV criteria. In states that require their DUI/DWI offender test incorporate DSM-IV criteria, the DRI-II and DRI-II Short Form comply. Employment Barriers (EB): Employment Barriers is a 116-item self-report test that is written at a low sixth grade reading level. The EB test can be completed in 25 minutes. Employment Barriers answer sheets are computer-scored with typed reports available on-site within 2½ minutes of data (answers) entry. The Employment Barriers (EB) facilitates early employment problem identification, which speeds up problem intervention, remediation and help. EB scales represent the test’s areas of inquiry. The six (6) Employment Barriers (EB) scales (measures) include: 1. Degree of Confidence Scale, 2. Work Attitude Scale, 3. Self-Esteem Scale, 4. Alcohol Scale, 5. Drugs Scale and 6. Homeless Veteran Index (HVI): The Homeless Veteran Index (HVI) is a 94 question test that assesses veteran’s homeless to housing transition. Used in conjunction with the Veteran Information Profile (VIP) the HVI takes 20 minutes to complete. It scores and prints reports within 2 minutes on-site. The HVI has five (5) Scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Transition Scale, 3. Resistance Scale, 4. Anger Scale and 5. Stress Management Scale. These are important areas of inquiry for assessing veteran transition. The HVI is a self-report test that is completed by the client, either individually or in group settings. There are no forms or questionnaires to be completed by the staff. HVI's are scored and interpreted by the computer which generates printed HVI reports on-site within three minutes of test completion. These reports eliminate the need for tedious, time consuming and error prone hand scoring. Staff report writing, substantiation of decision making and record keeping needs are met with HVI reports. Outreach Assessment (OA): Judges, probation officers, treatment staff and others make client assessment, screening and evaluation referrals to determine whether-or-not intervention, counseling or treatment are needed. And, when warranted, it matches problem severity with treatment intensity. Outreach Assessment is a self-report test written at a high 5th to low 6th grade reading level. It consists of 105 items (questions) and a checklist of available services that clients may want to participate in. It takes 30 minutes to complete. Outreach Assessment contains 5 scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Violence Scale, 3. Alcohol Scale, 4. Drugs and 5. Stress Management (coping abilities) Scale. The Intervention Checklist consists of a number of counseling alternatives, classes, other-related programs and services offered directly (or through referral) by area. This gives people the opportunity to indicate their desire to participate in (or continue in) checked programs and services. Reinstatement Review Inventory-II (RRI-II) (Driver’s License Reinstatement): The Reinstatement Review Inventory-II (RRI-II) is a variation of the RRI. In the RRI-II the Road Rage Scale is replaced by the Stress Coping Abilities Scale. The RRI-II is a screening test for applicants applying for reinstatement of their driver’s license after it was suspended or revoked. The RRI-II explores the question, "Has the applicant changed since their driver’s license was suspended or revoked?" The RRI-II should augment, not replace existing applicant review procedures. The RRI-II consists of 128 items and takes 25 to 30 minutes to complete. The RRI-II has six (6) scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Stress Coping Abilities (stress management) Scale, 3. Alcohol Scale, 4. Drugs Scale, 5. Comparative Change Scale and 6. Intervention Checklist. You can now choose the RRI which has a Road Rage Scale, or you can choose the RRI-II which replaced the Road Rage Scale with the Stress Coping Abilities Scale. Treatment Intervention Inventory (TII): The Treatment Intervention Inventory (TII) is an evidence based adult (male and female) assessment, screening or test. The TII is often used to decide upon counseling or treatment options or alternatives. The TII has 162 items and takes 35 minutes to complete. The TII has nine (9) scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Anxiety Scale, 3. Depression Scale, 4. Alcohol Scale, 5. Drugs Scale, 6. Stress Coping Abilities (stress management) Scale, 7. Self-Esteem Scale, 8. Distress Scale and 9. Family Issues. Careful review of the nine TII scales clarifies how comprehensive the test is. In approximately 35 minutes the assessor can rule in or out eight clinically significant areas of inquiry. Victim Index (VI): The Victim Index (VI) assesses victims of physical, mental and verbal abuse. The VI is appropriate for evaluating domestic violence victims, battered people, and other victimized individuals. The Victim Index (VI) consists of 147 items (questions) and takes 25 minutes to complete. The VI has eight (8) scales (measures): 1. Truthfulness Scale, 2. Distress Scale, 3. Morale Scale, 4. Self-Esteem Scale, 5. Resistance Scale, 6. Substance Abuse Scale, 7. Suicide Ideation Scale and 8. Stress Coping Abilities (stress management) Scale. In addition to rather obvious areas of inquiry, the Victim Index (VI) assesses self-esteem, client resistance, substance abuse and suicide potential.
